Seraikela, Sept 24: Lok Sabha MP Joba Majhi on Wednesday inaugurated the renowned Malkhan Singh Durga Puja Pandal of Praveen Singh Seva Smriti Sansthan at Adityapur M-Type. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi and the chief patron of the Puja Committee, former MLA Arvind Singh alias Malkhan Singh.
Addressing devotees during the welcome ceremony, MP Majhi said that Goddess Durga was the ultimate symbol of women’s empowerment, and Durga Puja epitomized the victory of truth over evil. She urged people to celebrate the festival by renouncing negativity and embracing righteousness.
The inauguration drew a large crowd of devotees, highlighting the popularity of the pandal, which was widely recognized across Jharkhand for its grandeur and unique identity. Following the formal rituals, the MP, MLAs, and other dignitaries offered prayers before Goddess Durga, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and harmony in the region.
Prominent Congress leaders, including Kalipada Soren, Shambhu Singh, President Ankur Singh, Basanti Gagrai, RK Singh and Johnny Hazra, were also present. The event marked the beginning of festive celebrations in the area, setting a devotional and cultural tone for the days ahead.
