Reinstatement of over 425 employees

Jamshedpur, July 23: The Singhbhum region’s Postal Department is set to reinstate over 425 postal employees based on their matriculation mark sheets. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old, with relaxation for reserved categories. Knowledge of the local language is required for the position.

An application fee of Rs 100 is applicable for General and OBC candidates, while SC-ST candidates will not need to pay this fee. The age calculation will be based on August 5, 2024. Applications can be submitted directly at the central level, with the deadline for submission being August 5.

Investigation Underway into Postal Department Scam

In a separate development, a high-level investigation has been launched into irregularities at the Lavjoda Post Office under Postmaster Tushar Kumar. The postmaster is accused of embezzling over Rs 4 lakh from 11 accounts. Senior Postal Superintendent Parmanand Kumar has confirmed that efforts are underway to recover the embezzled funds and investigate any systemic issues. A meeting was held to ensure the return of the stolen money, with a consent form signed for repayment within two days. The Chandil regional officer has been tasked with overseeing the investigation.
