JNAC’s anti-encroachment drive continues in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 1: A flying squad of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) removed encroachment from Straight Mile Road and the parking lot situated at the entrance of Sakchi Market near Sakchi T.O.P. The campaign started at 5 pm and continued till 8 pm. A truckload of garbage was removed from the said places. Around 300 crates and barricading angles were also removed. The flying squad was led by Executive Magistrate Sumit Kumar. Sakchi police and a contingent of Quick Response Team (QRT) were also present during the drive. The team seized 70 kg banned single-use plastic and collected a sum of Rs 31,500 in fine from the offenders. The drive was carried out at Sakchi, Sidhgora and Sitaramdera, officials said.
