Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) is soon going to conduct a trade licence survey across the city. The special officer of JNAC Sanjay Kumar said the decision was taken to prevent loss of revenue to JNAC. He said many traders, big and small, were doing their business without trade licence.
There are also a good number of traders who have not renewed their trade licence. As a result, the revenue earned through licence fee by the JNAC has gone down, said Kumar.
In view of the plummeting revenue, Kumar held a review meeting here on Saturday with the representatives of the agency, Sparrowtech, and tax officers of JNAC. He directed them to visit all shops in the notified area and collect information regarding their trade licence.
Kumar said many traders wanted to get trade licence issued but could not visit JNAC due to lack of time. He said the JNAC planned to visit the shops and establishment so that the traders do not have to come to JNAC for trade licence.
