JNAC to celebrate Swachhata Week from Jan 24

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has directed all contractors engaged in cleaning work in the city to launch a special drive to clean drains for one week. It has also appealed to the citizens to participate in the special campaign.
The special officer of JNAC Sanjay Kumar said the city could do well in the ongoing Swachhata Sarvekshan 2018 if the people of the city participate in the campaign. He said the citizens should keep it in mind that cleaning the city is the sole duty of the municipal bodies.
Kumar appealed to the citizens to keep the drains clean and asked them to abstain from throwing garbage such as plastic bottles, wrappers and other solid waste in the drains. He also asked people not to encroach upon drains.
