Several illegal construction projects stalled in Moharda
Jamshedpur: A team of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) led by Special Officer Sanjay Kumar patrolled Moharda and its adjoining localities on Saturday to keep an eye on government land encroachers. The officials stopped half a dozen construction works which were apparently found illegal.
Many people fled the scene on the arrival of the team which also comprised local police officials. Those found at the scene were asked to submit land ownership documents within 72 hours.
The JNAC officials made an announcement through mike among the local residents asking them to abstain from encroaching government land or dealing in them in an illegal manner. The team visited Arjun Colony, Moharda West and Santhal Basti.
According to the Special Officer, todays special patrolling drive was conducted following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar. The district administration is keeping an eye on encroachers of government land all over the district, especially the city areas such as Birsanagar, Baridih, Moharda, Kadma, Hurlung and Bhuiyandih, he said.
Kumar further said that action would also be taken against those naming streets and colonies on their own.
