Jamshedpur, Nov 3: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) on Sunday sealed two under-construction buildings in Dhatkidih for violating approved building plans.
The action was taken under the direction of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar after the committee received reports that construction work was continuing despite prior notices.
A team led by Town Planner Kumar Chetan Lal conducted the operation and sealed two sites — one belonging to builder Tariq Anwar at B-Block, Road No. 4, and another G+5 structure being constructed by Jamal Mallik at Holding No. 80/81, Road No. 2, Dhatkidih.
According to officials, both builders had earlier been issued notices instructing them to stop construction and submit documents related to deviations in the approved maps.
However, despite the warnings, work was found ongoing at both sites on Sunday, prompting immediate sealing.
Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated that the crackdown on building map violations will continue across the city. “Strict action will be taken against those who defy building regulations,” he said.
