JNAC removes roadside illegal constructions in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In a move to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law, the local civic body Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has taken action to remove illegal encroachments on the roadside in the city. The civic body has identified several temporary kiosks that had been set up illegally on the roadside, causing congestion and obstructing pedestrian movement.

Following instructions from Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, the team removed the encroachment, taking action against the encroachments on the road from Eye Hospital to Ramlila Maidan in the area, made on the side of the footpath in Sakchi market. The encroachment of those selling goods by unauthorized occupation of the railing was made free and the dirt kept on the product will be cleaned, in which a fine was also collected from the shopkeepers.

The drive was achieved with the support of the flying squad team and Tata Steel’s SRT team under the leadership of city manager Ravi Bharti along with the special officer.

The removal of these encroachments has been carried out in a systematic and organized manner.

Speaking about the action, a spokesperson from the local civic body said, “We have taken this action to ensure the safety of the public and to maintain the aesthetics of the city. These illegal encroachments were causing inconvenience to pedestrians and obstructing the free flow of traffic. We had to take action to remove them.”

The civic body has also warned that any further encroachment on public land will not be tolerated, and that action will be taken against anyone found violating the rules and regulations.

The removal of the encroachments has been welcomed by the local residents, who had been facing difficulties due to the congestion caused by the kiosks. “We are very happy with this action taken by the civic body. The removal of the encroachments has made the road much safer and easier to navigate,” said a local resident.

The civic body has urged the public to cooperate with them in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the city, and to refrain from any illegal encroachment on public land.

  1. JNAC is doing a wonderful job to clear the roads and footpath from encroachment. The drive should be carried out in other parts of the city also otherwise it’s becoming dangerous for pedestrians and also leading to accidents due to congestion on roads
