Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has intensified campaign against various vector-borne diseases in the city. In one such initiative, it has identified several khatals (shelter for cows and buffaloes) for taking action against their owners.
As per plan, notices would be served to the owners of these khatals and other dairy farms under Section 133 of CRPC for making their surroundings unhygienic by spreading animal waste and garbage in their respective localities. Today, 11 such cattle sheds were identified by a team led by cleanliness inspectors DK Pandey and S Ghosh. The team visited Gandhi Ghat, Gwala Basti, Adarsh Nagar and Shastri Nagar.
