JNAC action against illegal hoardings  

Jamshedpur, Feb 22: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee special officer Krishna Kumar said that such hoardings under Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), which have been put up illegally without permission and no satisfactory answer has been given by them even after showcause notice, will be removed in the next 48 hours and the amount spent in removing the hoarding will be recovered. Apart from this, legal action will also be taken under relevant sections of Jharkhand Municipal Act-2011.
It may be noted that general information was published in dailies to ensure that hoardings put up without permission / illegally are removed within 48 hours and without permission / illegally put up hoardings automatically 48 hours. A notice was also pasted to remove it within an hour. In the light of the above, action will be taken to remove the hoardings of those who have not been answered so far.

It may be mentioned that in the clause 171 (i) of the Jharkhand Municipal Act-2011, “any person/advertising agency shall, without the written permission of the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer, do any advertisement/publicity, such as any land, building, within the municipal area.” shall not put up, display, affix or place on or on a wall, frame, canopy structure, vehicle, neon or sky sign, nor in public view any advertisement appearing in any place or from any public street or public place display in any manner whatsoever (including any advertisement displayed through cinema).
