JMMs Mithilesh Thakur files nomination from Garhwa

Ranchi: JMMs Mithilesh Thakur today filed his nomination from Garhwa, the constituency of state RJD president Girinath Singh, as both parties could not take a final decision on alliance and seat allocation.

Thakur had contested last Assembly polls on a JMM ticket. He had got 14,000 votes in the last polls to secure third position. This time JMM is claiming Garhwa seat, but this seat is also being claimed by Girinath Singh.

Thakur said he would remain the top contestant in the polls. He said JMM leaders were still talking with RJD leaders on the alliance issue.

State RJD president meanwhile said the JMM was violating the alliance dharma. He said the JMM should be asked as to why was its candidate, Mithilesh Thakur, filing nomination from Garhwa.
