Jamshedpur, Nov 26: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Lakhan Mardi joined Janata Dal (U) on Tuesday. He was accompanied by 50 JMM members who also quit their party to join JD (U). Many senior party leaders were present on this occasion. They included JD (U) general secretary for Bihar Ashok Kumar Singh and Bengal JD (U) president Ashok Das. All party leaders and supporters gathered at the residence of JD (U) candidate Ishwar Soren at Balijuri and urged voters to support the party candidate.
Mardi said 20 star campaigners would camp in Jharkhand in his support from 30th November.
Soren said the people of Potka were still deprived of education, drinking water, irrigation and other basic civic amenities.
