Chaibasa, June 18: West Singhbhum unit of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) staged a dharna in front of DC office on Saturday. Later, The JMM activists submitted a three-point memorandum to the DC addressed to the Jharkhand Governor.
The JMM party central committee member IJhar Rahi said that price rise, corruption and worsening law and order situation at its peak whereas Modi government is celebrating as no corruption during two years of tenure. The government officers take 40 percent commission for any tender, he alleged. �The laborers� money is taken out prior to job forcing them illegally to sign on the document.�
Former MLA Mangal Singh Bobonga said, �The state law and order situation is worsening day by day. Murders are taking at crowded public places in broad day light and the government is unable to take any action against the culprits.�
District president Bhvenswar mahto said that thousands of underprivileged people are deprived of ration card under FDS scheme. MLA Deepak Birua said that the price rise is increasing day by day and government is showing a fallacy GDF of 7 percent growth rate.
The JMM leaders demand that if the government fails to control then JMM would intensify their movement statewide strong agitation. A large number of JMM activists were present on the occasion.
