JMM seeks probe into Ramada lift mishap

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders have demanded a probe into the mishap at Hotel Ramada at Bistupur in which a lift fell free on 15th April last.

Several people were injured in the incident. District JMM president Ramesh Hansda and other party leaders alleged that the district administration had given clean chit to the hotel management and the company that had installed the lift in the hotel.

They said the administration should conduct a probe into the incident and also verify the land allotment process and ownership of the land of the said hotel.

Surprisingly, the JMM leaders have come to the fore with the hotel issue after a fortnight. Few journalists were also injured in the incident.

The JMM leaders said the victims were still in pain and that they were suffering from a tough situation caused by the incident. They said the victims should be provided adequate compensation by the hotel management.
