Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) staged a protest before the gate of the Block and Circle Office in demand for quick delivery of online birth and death certificates. The protest was led by JMM district organizing secretary Jagdish Bhakat. The protesters shouted slogans against the undue delay in the issue of the certificates.
Later, an application addressed to the Block Development Officer (BDO) at the Block Office was handed over by the JMM protesters. Bhakat informed that due to the delay in issuance of the certificates beneficiaries were being deprived of the benefits of government schemes launched. He said, �The delay has been happening for quite a few months.
Whenever asked, the officials say that some technical fault with the computer server is holding up the process. The government should immediately get the problem rectified and ensure fast delivery of these vital birth and death certificates.� He also warned that if the problem was not resolved immediately, JMM would be forced to take to violent agitation.
