Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Chief Whip in the Jharkhand Assembly and former minister Nalin Soren today said the party will not be affected in any manner in case dissident party leader Simon Marandi leaves the party.
Speaking to scribes in Dumka, Soren said the party had seen many senior leaders leave the organization and suffer from identity crisis. He said leaders like Suraj Mandal and Krishna Mardi had earlier left the party. Even Simon Marandi has left the party earlier and seen the consequences in the year 2002, Soren said.
JMM is a strong party which will remain intact and unfazed by such incidents. The partys health will remain unaffected even if Simon Marandi quits the organization. Simon is acting under the influence of his vested interest for his son and making false allegations against the party. But his plans will bear no fruits, said Soren.
The former minister defended the party further by saying that the JMM had welcomed many new and young faces recently. He said the efforts of Chief Minister Hemant Soren should be praised instead of being criticized by leaders having vested interest.
Asked about the fate of the state government, Soren said, The government will complete its full term and live up to the expectations of the people. There is no threat on the government.
Soren said the government had done a lot for the welfare and development of poor people. He said a conspiracy was in the offing to topple the government and that it would be foiled. He further said that the Lok Sabha poll results will be in favour of JMM and United Progressive Alliance. He said the voters had completely ignored the baseless promises and claims of BJP and JVM.
