Jamshedpur, Dec. 13: JMA (Jamshedpur Management Association) has started a new series “Inspiring Leader Series”, a forum where inspiring leaders will be invited to talk on leadership and their experiences in life. In the first talk on 12th Dec, Firdose Vandrevala , a former senior Tata Executive, who was the vice chairman of Essar Steel, delivered talk on an e-platform. Professionals from Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ISWP, TSLP, TCIL, TSUIL etc. participated in the event. Vandrevala touched on points that leadership is best learnt while on job. He stressed the need for trusting subordinates, importance of trust, courage and truthfulness. He said that the litmus test of one’s leadership is whether or not a leader is able to increase his team’s ‘overall energy’. The whole talk was very enriching as the speaker dealt the subject with a lot of anecdotal examples and wit. The session was moderated by Rupa Mahanty, Executive board member, JMA, and was organised by Amitabh Bhattacharjee, Hony. Secretary, JMA.
