Latehar: Acting on secret information from SP Anjani Anjan, Chhipadohar police arrested the area commander of JJMP with weapons and sent him to jail on Friday.
Naxalite Ritesh Singh was arrested from his house. Police have recovered a carbine fitted with a magazine and two 9 mm cartridges from him. Barwadih SDPO Dillu Lohar gave this information in a press conference organized at Chhipadohar police station.
He said that the Superintendent of Police had received secret information that JJMP area commander Ritesh Singh had come to his house with weapons. After this, a team was formed and area commander Ritesh Singh was arrested by raiding his house. He further said that the arrested area commander Ritesh Singh had already gone to jail in a murder case.
Four criminal cases are registered against him in Chhipadohar and Barwadih police stations. SDPO Dilu Lohar, Police Inspector Anil Oraon, station in-charge Abhishek Kumar, SI Ranjit Ram, ASI Rajesh Kumar, Birbal Hansda, police station and IRB personnel were involved in the raid operation.
