JHRC demands Life Line shutdown

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Human Rights Conference (JHRC) members have demanded closure of Life Line Nursing Home.

A delegation of outfit members met the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee on Tuesday and demanded that the nursing home be shut down.

They raised slogans against the nursing home management and handed over a memorandum to the special officer. Leading the delegation, the outfit president Manoj Mishra said the district civil surgeon should also take action against the Sadar Hospital, Khasmahal, for failing to dispose biomedical waste properly.

He said the High Court had given the responsibility of investigating into biomedical waste disposal to the JNAC while hearing the public interest litigation (PIL) filed by JHRC.
