Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Human Rights Conference (JHRC) has demanded implementation of the Clinical Establishment Act 2012 all over the state. A delegation of the outfit members led by president Manoj Mishra met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar on Thursday and handed him a petition in this connection.

Mishra said implementing the said Act is essential to ensure quality and cheaper healthcare for the people. All private health establishments are covered under the law.

So far the health department is unable to bring the law into effect which has led many private health institutions to run themselves in a whimsical manner.
Mishra said many of the private clinics and hospitals are also found neglecting their duties which puts the lives of many patients in jeopardy.

The JHRC members earlier gathered at Aam Bagan in Sakchi and garlanded the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. They took a pledge to launch a massive stir on the issue of healthcare.

Among those present on the occasion included Abhijeet Nanda, Vishwajeet Singh, Rishi gupta, Gurmukh Singh and DN Sharma.
