Jamshedpur, Nov 20: The 39th Jamshedpur Book Fair witnessed a remarkable literary event with the grand Book Presentation Ceremony of Jungleventures, a captivating new children’s book by author Satish Mishra.

Held on November 18, 2025, at the iconic Book fair, this event brought together a diverse and enthusiastic audience comprising children, educators, literary enthusiasts, and esteemed dignitaries. The event marked not only the release of an exciting new book but also an inspiring celebration of nature, culture, and educational values for young readers. The event also featured retired Special Secretary of the Jharkhand government, M.K. Pandey, as the chief guest, who highlighted the critical importance of cultivating reading habits among children for fostering intellectual growth and moral development.

There could not have been a better day than this Children’s Day, 14 November 2025 to dedicate this book to the City of Jamshedpur.

The launch marked the inauguration of Bal Mela at Bodhi Ground, Sakchi.

Jharkhand’s Finance Minister, Radha Krishna Kishore, along with the Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy and VPCS Tata Steel D.B Sundara Ramam  officially unveiled the book, adding special gravitas to the occasion.

A vibrant atmosphere filled the Bodhi Ground, Sakchi as children enthusiastically engaged in quizzes and story-reading sessions, making the event interactive and lively. The warm participation of attendees transformed the occasion into both a literary and community celebration.

The Finance Minister said that this Children’s book will connect our future generation to the state they live in. Saryu Roy lauded the book’s freshness and originality, describing Jungleventures as “a precious gem in children’s literature.” His appreciation reflects the growing recognition of the book’s innovative storytelling approach combined with culturally rich content. Sundara Ramam, also admired the book’s creativity, depth of child psychology understanding, and its powerful environmental message.

Finally, Satish Mishra, the author, shared his vision behind the creation. He explained that Jungleventures is designed to connect children with the rich cultural heritage, history, and diverse geography of Jharkhand. The book features enthralling tales of local wildlife and forest adventures woven with valuable life lessons. Through these stories, children are gently guided to develop an understanding and respect for their natural surroundings and cultural roots.

The narrative draws heavily from the lush landscapes and wildlife indigenous to Jharkhand. Stories such as “The Three Fishes of Dimna” and “The Squirrels of Chaibasa” have already become favorites among readers and reviewers alike. The book is beautifully illustrated and includes a detailed jungle map of Jharkhand, which helps children visualize and deepen their connection to the setting. More than just entertaining tales, the stories emphasize ecological awareness, conservation, and moral values such as empathy, courage, and friendship. Author’s Commitment to Children’s Education and Creativity

Satish Mishra expressed his heartfelt dedication to nurturing children’s intellect and values by bridging their experiences with nature and culture. He emphasized that Jungleventures is not only about storytelling but about inspiring a generation to appreciate and protect their environment.

In line with this vision, the author announced an innovative extension: Nimanba TV, a multilingual YouTube channel catering to children.

This platform will host all stories in the Jungleventures series and will also offer content in Hindi, English, Bhojpuri, Bengali, and Odia languages.

The channel is designed to promote multidisciplinary learning, enhance language skills, and stimulate creativity through storytelling in an engaging digital format.

Following the success of the Jharkhand edition, Mishra confirmed upcoming series focused on the forests of Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar, expanding the geographical and cultural scope of his efforts.

The presence of over 600 attendees at the official release on November 14, 2025, during the Bal Mela, demonstrated the community’s strong support and excitement for this literary initiative.

The engaging sessions included a book signing and interactive story dialogues, which drew enthusiastic responses from both children and parents. These activities underscored the book’s role not only as a reading material but also as a tool for family bonding and learning.

Jungleventures is available at stall number 19 in the Jamshedpur Book Fair and also Amazon and Flipkart. Significantly, Jungleventures has quickly found its place among bestselling children’s books on Amazon within a week of release.
