Jharkhand�s first temple dedicated to three Goddesses to be inaugurated in Jamshedpur on Feb 20

Jamshedpur, Feb 1: City�s religious organization, Satyanarayan Marwari Thakurbari Trust has constructed a temple in Rajasthani art format at Sakchi Thakurbari Road that will house Goddesses Mahalakshmi, Anjani and Rani Sati Dadiji. An eight-day religious festival between February 20 and February 27 will be organized for establishing the Deities in traditional Vedic norms.

Addressing a press meeting today at the temple complex, the Trust president Kamal Agrawal, secretary Pramod Agrawal, Suman Agrawal and Pawan Agrawal informed that the religious festival will be conducted by Acharya Banke Bihari Goswami and 21 other priests adept in Vedic rituals from the land of Lord Shri Krishna�s birth. The team will perform the �Prana Prathishtha� of the deities amidst Vedic chants and hymns. Preparations for the eight-day event are on on a war footing, they said.

The Trust members urged all citizens and religious institutions to join hands with the organizers to make the �historic� inaugural eight-day event successful. A team has been formed to manage the event and responsibilities have been divided among the team members. Mahavir Prasad Agrawal has been made the Convener of the Mahotsav while Ashok Modi and Suresh Kauntia will function as Joint Conveners.

Commencement of religious rituals

The religious function will commence at 8 am on Thursday, February 20 with Kalash Yatra with a procession of devotees carrying water from the Swarnrekha river to the temple. From February 21 to 24, the idols of the Goddesses in the temple will be worshiped according to Vedic norms. On February 25, after the worship session, the idols will be carried in a procession with the religious flags along the city�s main thoroughfares.

Pran Pratishtha and Mangal Path

The Pran Prathishtha religious rituals of the three Goddesses will commence on the morning of Wednesday, February 26. The same day at 1 pm, Rani Sati Dadaiji�s Mangal Path will be performed. Famous Mangal Path recitation and Bhajan singer duo of Saurav-Madhukar and team from Kolkata will be present on the day to fill the temple complex with religious aura. Another special feature of the day will be the Jyoti that would be brought all the way from Dadi�s main temple at Jhunjhunu for devotees� viewing and receiving divine blessings.

Registration for women devotees

The Trust has made it mandatory that all women devotees desirous of participating in the Kalash Yatra, Nishaan Yatra and Mangal Path will have to register their names by February 10. They can get their names registered by calling mobile numbers 6203335116 and 7766944344 (Sakchi), 9263517678 (Mango), 9431117464 (Bistupur), 9334080282 and 7004432726 (Kadma), 9334285666 and 06572340290 (Golmuri), 9431566633 (Bhalubasa) and 9708594030 (Jugsalai). Registration is also being done at the temple complex since January 24.
