Jamshedpur: A mini ATM service was inaugurated at Tentla panchayat in Potka block on Tuesday. The machine was installed by AGS Company. It is the first mini ATM to have been installed in a panchayat in Jharkhand, claimed the local Mukhiya Deepantari Sardar. It was inaugurated by the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar.
Officials said the mini ATM would be conducted by Abhishwa Technologies Private Limited. The company merchants would visit villages and render the mini ATM services. The villagers would be able to withdraw cash up to Rs 2000 everyday without any charges.
Speaking on the occasion, Menka Sardar said the Central and state governments were dedicated to the cause of the last man on the street. She said a lot was being done at various levels for the development and welfare of villages. She said the mini ATM service started today was an initiative taken by the government to bring banking services to the doorsteps of the common man. She said the service should be provided to the people all over Jharkhand.
Mukhiya Deepantari Sardar said the efforts being put in by the government were commendable. The block development officer PC Das said the Mukhiya had done a great job by taking the initiative to start the mini ATM service in the village. He said such service should also be started at the block headquarters.
The programme was conducted by the panchayat secretary Manoj Kumar Sinha. Among others present on the occasion included Abhishek Kumar Ram, chairman of Abhishwa Technologies Private Limited, Tapas Chatterjee, Sitaram Mahapatra, Gurucharan Singh, Kiran Patra, Sohagi Hembrom, Subala Singh, Lata Sardar and Raimani Singh.
