Jamshedpur, Jan 2: Jharkhand’s Boys and Girls Basketball teams are all set to compete in the 74th Senior National Basketball Championship, scheduled to be held in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, from January 5 to 12, 2025. The teams will depart for Gujarat on January 2, traveling by the Howrah Ahmedabad Superfast Express train.
International coach JP Singh, Secretary of the Jharkhand Basketball Association, along with Harbhajan Singh (President), Pradeep Mukherjee (Treasurer), Mukhtar Ansari, and B. Marandi, congratulated the teams and wished them success in the tournament.

The Boys team includes players Vimalesh Kumar (Captain), Abhas Panwar, Shoaib Khan, Sushant Deep, Aryajit Mishra, Ravi Pandey, Praveen Yadav, Himanshu Hatwal, Dheeraj Kumar Gupta, Vishwajeet Singh, Harshit, and Akash. The coaching staff consists of Chief Coach Arif Aftab and Coach Dev Jyoti, with Adarsh Kumar as the Team Manager.
The Girls team includes Tiny Lal, Reet Agarwal, Preeti Kumari, Jiden Barla (Captain), Shruti Thakuri, Nisha Kumari, Akanksha Khalko, Vibha Tamsoy, Kalpana Kumari, Aakriti Chaudhary, Simmi Kumari, and Bhavana Upadhyay. The team is coached by Chief Coach Mohammad Jalal Sheikh, Coach Shanta Mishra, and Team Manager Harsh Singh.
