Jamshedpur, November 6: Jharkhand athletes made the state proud at the 23rd Asian Masters Athletics Championship being held in Chennai from November 5 to 9. On the opening day, B.N. Rao won a silver medal for India in the triple jump event, while on the second day, Ashok Kumar Biswal clinched another silver in the 400m race with a timing of 1 minute 13.22 seconds.

Kazakhstan secured the first position and Malaysia finished third.
According to Gursharan Singh, Media In-charge of the Asian Championship from Jharkhand, more than 3,300 athletes from 21 countries are participating in this prestigious international event alongside India.
