Jamshedpur, March 24: A meeting of the Jharkhand Pradesh Vaishya Ekta Manch was held today at Poddar Bhawan on Tank Road in Mango. The meeting was organized for a Holi get-together.
Chief guest on the occasion and the state president of the organization Baidnath Prasad in his address observed, �This Holi Milan shows our unity. A united force overcomes all barriers that cause rifts and social divides. Fortunately, our community stands united.�
The special guests included patron Shankar Poddar and the state women�s wing of the Manch president Manju Sah. The special guests emphasized that the community development work should get preference over political activities. �We should pay prior importance to development of our community,� they stressed.
The meeting was chaired by Jharkhand Pradesh Vaishya Ekta Manch district president Rakesh Sahu. In his welcome address Sahu mentioned, �We might have different political ideologies but we give preference to family interests and then community and similarly we should address our Vaishya community problems first and then attend to our political pursuits.�
Members applied colours on one another on the occasion of Holi Milan and pledged that each and every member of the community took an oath to exercise voting rights during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The organizing committee for the event comprised Rakesh Sahu, Pramod Gupta, Vijay Kumar, Santosh Bhagat, Rishikesh Kumar, Bhagwan Sao, Navin Kumar, Manoj Gupta, Raj Kishor Prasad, Ranjit Gupta, Subodh Prasad, Raj Kumar Sah and others.
