Ranchi, Oct. 21: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that with its Sarva Dharma Sambhav policy, nature worshipping and unity in diversity, Jharkhand has special cultural identity. This culture is enlivened by the use of traditional musical instruments coupled with folk songs and dances.
The CM further said that cultural programmes should be conducted in all the districts of the state on the eve of Foundation Day of Jharkhand and selected artists from different fields should be invited to perform on the occasion at the Morabadi ground. An exhibition of traditional musical instruments should be held at the programme venue and experts should be felicitated, he said.
Das said that a prabhat pheri (morning procession) should be taken out and sanitation, security and traffic should be managed properly. Momentum Jharkhand should be propagated during the programme.
Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, Additional Chief Secretary R K Srivastav, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar along with other Principal Secretaries and Secretaries were present on the occasion.
