Ranchi: It is raining in many parts of Jharkhand. Even today there is a possibility of rain in many parts of the state. It has rained in many parts of the state in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 52.2 mm has been recorded in Dumka and the highest temperature of 34°C has been recorded in Garhwa.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert regarding thunder and lightning.
There is a possibility of thunderstorm in Jharkhand, the IMD has appealed to the people to be cautious regarding this. Today there will be light to moderate rain in the state and it will last till September 30. Rain may become more intense in the beginning of the month. There is a high possibility of thunderstorms in the state till September 30.
There may be more rain in the southern and central parts of the state. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in the initial month of October also.
The weather office said that the state has received good rainfall in September. Even now the state has received 27 percent less rainfall. The situation has improved after the rains in the state. The situation of monsoon rains has become quite good.
7 districts have received normal rainfall, 14 districts have received less than normal rainfall and three districts have received almost normal rainfall. The improvement in the rainfall situation in the state has brought considerable relief.
The Meteorological Department said that Jharkhand will be affected by the low pressure forming in the Andaman Sea. Even today, there may be light to moderate rain with thunder at isolated places in the northern and adjacent central parts of the state.
