Jharkhand State Secondary Teachers’ Association holds District convention, reorganizes executive body

Jamshedpur, Sep 8:  The East Singhbhum unit of the Jharkhand State Secondary Teachers’ Association (JSSTA) held its district convention and restructured its executive body at PM Shri upgraded people’s Academy School, New Baradwari on September 8. Several dignitaries including Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai and former Kolhan Commissioner Mohan Lal Rai attended the convention.

In his speech, Saryu Roy praised the efforts of the association in addressing educational concerns particularly in secondary schools. He emphasized the importance of teachers in shaping the future of students and society. “We must focus on the development of our education system to ensure the children receive quality education,” he said.

The new district executive committee was formed during the event. The key appointments included Narendra Prasad Singh as the president of the Association, Shashikant Singh Vice President and Kavita Singh as Secretary. The executive members pledged to focus on the welfare of teachers and improving education in the region.

The Association also planned to undertake various educational and community initiatives. Prakash Kumar Yadav, the election officer stated that the new committee aimed to create a stronger voice for teachers’ rights and collaborate closely with the government for educational reform.
