Jharkhand State Chess Championship from May 2

Ranchi, April 26: Aditya Birla Memorial, 14th Jharkhand State FIDE Rating Chess Championship will kick off at BK Birla Auditorium, Sarala Birla Public School Campus in Ranchi on May 2.

The championship will conclude on May 5. The tournament is being organized by Ranchi District Chess Association on behalf of All Jharkhand Chess Association (AJCA).

Informing about the tournament, President of AJCA Pradeep Verma said that around 200 players from Jharkhand which comprises of 70 international standard players.

Verma further said that the prize money for the championship is Rs 51000 for rated and for the unrated the players who qualify under top 10 will be distributed.

The first 4 players from men and women section will be selected for National Championship which will be held from May 1.

Each and every participant will be awarded certificates of participation. The tournament will be inaugurated at 8 am on May 2.
