Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Tourism Department, in collaboration with Sky High India, has launched a significant initiative to boost adventure tourism in the state: the Skydiving Festival.
Currently, the thrill is unfolding at Jamshedpur’s Sonari Airport from March 21 to March 29, 2026. The festival will then move to Dumka from April 1 to April 6, 2026. Building on the success of last year’s event, this festival offers participants the unique opportunity to skydive from approximately 10,000 feet alongside professional instructors.
One State, Many Adventures
This initiative aligns with Jharkhand Tourism’s vision of establishing the state as a premier adventure destination under the concept of “One State, Many Adventures.” Beyond the adrenaline rush of the open sky and high-speed winds, skydiving over Jharkhand’s lush green landscapes provides tourists with a unique connection to nature. This effort not only elevates the state’s tourism profile but also strengthens the local economy and creates new employment opportunities.
Global Recognition and Booking Information
The State Government continues to empower the tourism sector, striving to solidify Jharkhand’s identity on both national and international stages. To ensure wide outreach, Jharkhand Tourism is extensively promoting the festival across social media platforms.
