Ranchi: The state Election Commission rejected nomination of 10 candidates during verification of forms submitted by candidates of the Lok Sabha elections of second round going to be held in six constituencies on 17th April. Now there are a total of 110 candidates left for the Parliamentary battle at these seats. The last date for withdrawal of nomination forms is 29th March.
The chief election officer of Jharkhand PK Jajoria said there are 18 candidates in fray so far for Giridih. Two of the forms were rejected. In Ranchi, there are 29 candidates in fray so far while in Jamshedpur, there are 15 candidates. Altogether there are a total of 172 candidates for 10 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state for the first and second phase of election in the state, Jajoria said.
