Ranchi: The Centre has given its nod on the request of Jharkhand Government to relieve Jharkhand cadre IAS officers who had earlier been sent on central deputation.
The State Government is facing acute crunch of IAS officers to head its important departments.
The IAS officials who are being released from deputation in Delhi would return their parent State Jharkhand in a few days. After taking charge the chief minister Raghubar Das has urged the Centre to relieve IAS officers of Jharkhand cadre Nidhi Khare, Amit Khare, Rajiv Gauba, Sunil Burnwal and others from central deputation.
According to information Sunil Burnwal has already been recalled to Jharkhand. He will take charge as secretary of chief minister Raghubar Das soon. It may be recalled here that Bihar cadre IAS officer Sanjay Kumar has already recalled to Jharkhand from central deputation and will soon take charge as chief secretary of the CM.
Notably Nidhi Khare and Amit Khare had left Jharkhand five years ago for central deputation. Their deputation period is coming to an end. On the other hand Sunil Burnwal had gone to Delhi in the end of 2014.
Furthermore Rajiv Gauba, working in Home Department, is from Jharkhand Cadre. He is coming to Jharkhand for the first time. Rajiv was earlier posted in Washington DC as an advisor to IMF. Currently Rajiv Gauwa is working as additional secretary in Union Home department.
It is being expected that all IAS officers ending their central deputation would be given charge of important departments in Jharkhand Government to speed up development activities.
