Jharkhand ready to welcome PM Modi

Ranchi, Oct 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on October 2 inaugurate a rooftop solar power plant at the Khuti district court and thereafter launch a mega Mudra credit card camp in Dumka where people will get loan cards to start businesses, said Chief Minister Raghubar Das addressing a press conference on Thursday.

Talking to the media persons at the project building in Ranchi, Das said that Khunti, the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, would become the first district court in the country to be run by solar power.

Modi will also inaugurate online a renovation and conservation project of a series of temples in Maluti at an estimated cost of Rs.13.6 crore.

CM said, Modi will first visit Khunti at 11 am were Governor Draupadi Murmu and Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Virendra Singh will be present.

CM Das while congratulating the people of the state on birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri said the government will abide by the people of the state.

CM further informed that PM Narendra Modi will reach Dumka at 1:20 pm and will inaugurate distribution of loans worth Rs 212 crore among more than one lakh people under the Mega MUDRA Yozana (Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Limited). “The target is to give loans under Mudra to one lakh people in Santhal region of the state,” he added.

Of one lakh people 25 thousand will get loans through Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojana and 75 thousand beneficiaries of 5000 self-help groups will be provided loans. Modi would also inaugurate distribution of free LPG connections to families under the Below Poverty Line(BPL) from Dumka. 

“Under the Food Security Act, one lakh BPL families will be given free LPG connections this fiscal, and the Prime Minister will inaugurate it from Dumka,” Das said. 

The Union Petroleum Ministry’s contribution was Rs 1,600 and the state’s was Rs 918.50 per beneficiary for the free distribution of cylinders to BPL families, but the beneficiaries have to purchase the ovens, Das said.
