Ranchi: For a change lawmakers cutting across political affiliations forget their bickering and soaked in fun and merriment during the Holi Milan Samaroh in the Jharkhand Assembly premises on Tuesday.
The program saw assembly speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, chief minister Hemant Soren and recently nominated Leader of Opposition and BJP state president Babulal Marandi along with other MLAs of both ruling and opposition parties taking part in the festivity.
After the completion of today’s proceedings of the second (budget) session of the sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Holi Milan Samaroh was organized in Jharkhand Assembly premises.
Everyone showered flowers on each other and applied abir-gulal and gave hearty greetings and best wishes for the holy festival.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren wished all the people of Jharkhand on the holy festival Holi.
Addressing media representatives after the Holi Milan Samaroh, the Chief Minister said, “The festival of Holi is near, we all have started celebrating this festival of colors as a festival. On behalf of myself and the state government, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all people on Holi.”
Chief minister also hoped t that like the colorful colors of this Holi festival, happiness, prosperity and well-being will come in the life of state’s people and wished good health and asked people to celebrate this festival with mutual love and harmony in a beautiful environment.
