Jamshedpur: The general election of Jharkhand State Marwari Sammelan is going to be held in Ranchi on 9th July.
It will be held at Marwari Bhavan situated at Harmu Road. As many as 747 voters from six divisions will elect the new state president of the outfit. The annual general meeting of the organization will take place at 10 am while voting will take place between 12.30 pm and 4 pm under the supervision of a nine-member election conduct committee.
The outfit members said there are around 200 voters in East Singhbhum. Former district president of the outfit Nirmal Kabra is also contesting for the post of state president this time. He will be pitted against two other candidates, Dharmachand Jain and Dharmachand Bajaj. For the last 15 years, candidates from Ranchi have occupied the post of president.
Members of East Singhbhum Zila Marwari Manch had recently held a meeting at Chamber Bhavan and unanimously decided to launch a campaign to support Kabra�s candidature.
