Daltonganj recorded a minimum temperature of 6.3°C, two notches below normal.

Morning fog was reported from several locations, with visibility dropping to 300 metres in Ranchi, causing reduced clarity during early hours.

Foggy conditions were also observed in Jamshedpur, Daltonganj and Deoghar, said weatherman.

Daytime temperatures failed to recover significantly. Jagannathpur in West Singhbhum recorded the highest maximum temperature at 23.2°C, while most districts saw daytime readings remain below seasonal norms.

No rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours.

Meteorologists said the prevailing weather pattern is likely to continue in the coming days, with cold nights and foggy mornings expected, particularly in low-lying and open areas.

Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions against exposure to cold, especially during late-night and early-morning hours.
