Ranchi, January 15: Amid surge in Covid-19 cases, Jharkhand government has decided to extend the partial lockdown in state till January 31.
The restrictions applicable in the present scenario will remain in place till January 31.
Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta shared this information through a tweet on Saturday evening.
“The current situation of partial lockdown will remain in force in Jharkhand till January 31. The government is constantly reviewing the Covid-19 situation in the state. Everyone must follow the guidelines and stay safe”, he said in a tweet.
It may be mentioned that the Hemant government had imposed restrictions on January 4 in view of rise in Covid cases till January 15.

All educational institutions, parks, swimming pools, gyms, zoos, places of tourist destinations and sports stadiums will remain closed.
Schools, colleges, coaching institutes will also remain closed till January 31 but administrative work can be done in these institutions with 50 percent capacity.
Till January 31, cinema halls, restaurants, bars and shopping malls will open with 50 percent capacity.
Baring restaurants, bars and medicine shops which will closed at their usual time all other shops would have to down shutters by 8 pm.
A maximum of one hundred people can participate in the outdoor event and in indoor events only 50 percent of the total capacity or 100, whichever is less will be allowed to participate.
The offices of government and private institutions will remain open with only 50 percent capacity and there will be a ban on biometric attendance.
