Jharkhand Likely to receive rain till October 8

Ranchi: Jharkhand is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall till October 8 under the influence of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for October 5. On October 3 and October 4, all parts of the state are expected to receive rain. Among the areas where there is a high chance of rain, many areas including Simdega, Saraikela Kharsawan, East and West Singhbhum may receive light to moderate rain. Similarly, the weather pattern may remain till October 8.
The IMD has also issued an alert regarding thunderstorms. Several parts of the state have been hit by lightning. The weather office has appealed to the people to be cautious during this time. During heavy rains, it is forbidden to stay under trees, stay under electric poles and use phones in rain. Due to heavy rains in the capital Ranchi, roads are also flooded. Rain is likely from October 6 to 8, but no alert has been issued for it yet.
Many parts of the state have received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 191.5 mm occurred in Bhavnathpur of Garhwa. 130 mm in Saryu, 126 in Hazaribagh, 120 mm in Ketar, 114.2 mm in Bardiha, 98.5 mm in Shialchak, 92.6 mm in Latehar, 84.4 mm in Kanke, 76.6 mm in Bokaro, 75.6 mm in Bokaro Thermal, 2.5 mm in Dhurki and 68 mm in Chandrapura. Daltonganj received 62.8 mm, Kandy 62.7 mm, Dumri 60 mm, Nandih 59.6 mm, Mandu 58.7 mm and Tuladih 56.3 mm. During this time, 46.4 mm of rain fell in Ranchi as well. 44.2 mm in Khalari, 44 in Garhwa, 43.2 mm in Ramgarh, 40.2 mm in Torpa, 43.2 mm in Ramgarh, 36.6 mm in Barhi, 36.2 mm in Mandar, 34 mm in Tilaiya, 23 mm in Bokaro, 18.5 mm in Simdega and 3.5 mm in Sahebganj.
