Jharkhand Journalist Association demands Rs 50 lakh insurance cover

Gamharia: Gamharia unit of Jharkhand Journalist Association on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Block Statistics Officer Dayanand Prasad in absence of BDO addressed to the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren highlighting various issues being faced by the journalists. State secretary of the association Abhay Lamba led the delegation of journalists. According to the memorandum, a committee should be formed to investigate the fraud cases being registered against the journalists, journalists pension scheme should be launched which would benefit the journalists who have retired, providing compensation to journalists who have succumbed to COVID and giving government jobs to a family member of the deceased, providing financial support to journalists facing issues during COVID times, declaring journalists as Corona warriors and providing them Rs 50 lakh insurance etc. On the occasion Ganesh Sarkar, Jagjeevan Mahato, Ajit Labh, Manish Kumar, Arvind Mishra, Madhusudhan Singh, Ajit Mandal, Virendra Mandal and others were present.������� ��
