Jharkhand is developing fast: Raghubar Das

Ranchi: Addressing a meeting of ADB Bank, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Jharkhand is developing fast. He said the basic structure of Jharkhand is changing positively and ADB has supported it well.

“In the coming days, ADB will contribute Rs 10,000-12,000 crore for the development of the state. Schemes related to road, housing, urban development, higher education, skill development and tourism will start soon,” said the CM.

Discussing future plans, Das further said, “Our aim is to provide housing to each and everyone before 2020. We are working on it. There is a plan for opening international university in the state. First there will be a national university and then international university will be opened in a pre-planned manner. Work in this direction is in progress.”

The CM said that people of Jharkhand are poor and government is continuously working for their uplift. “Children of poor families are getting employment with skill development programmes which will reduce their migration. For skill development, we have tied up with a Singapore-based IT company. We are implementing plans with vision of 20-25 years ahead in mind. Tourism development works are in progress for Anjan Dham, Parasnath, Rajrappa and Patratu. ADB is playing crucial role in such programmes,” he said.

Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Additional Chief Secretary Amit Khare, Principle secretary of CM Sanjay Kumar, Principle secretary of Urban Development Arun Kumar Singh, Road Secretary Mastram Meena, Education Department Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh and Tourism Secretary Rahul Sharma were present at the meeting.
