Jharkhand Imaging Expo Opens in Ranchi

Ranchi: The 6th Jharkhand Imaging Expo opened at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Khelgaon, attracting photographers from 17 districts across the state. The Imaging Expo Committee of the Jharkhand Photographic Association Central (JPAC) organized the event, which features prominent industry personalities from across India.

Tourism and Sports Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, alongside Supriyo Bhattacharya and Naveen Kumar Jha, formally inaugurated the expo by lighting the ceremonial lamp. JPAC President Bapi Ghoshal and General Secretary Upendra Kumar felicitated the dignitaries with traditional angavastra and mementos.

Industry Milestone

During the session, speakers highlighted a significant recognition for the profession: the prestigious Padma Shri awards now include wedding photography in their selection panel.

Renowned guests, including Chittaranjan Patra, Manas Chakraborty, and photographer Raju Sultania, joined senior JPAC office-bearers to celebrate the opening.

Leading national and international brands are showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies at the expo, including:

• Cameras & Imaging: Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Canon, Kodak.

Creative Workshops and Fashion Shows

To provide a hands-on experience, the event features fashion shows and photography workshops.

• Creative Team: Designers from Dream Dresses Collection, Ashu Tyagi, and Shreya.

• Technical Support: Makeup artist Akash Singh and choreographer Wasim Alam.

• Direction & Training: Shubhojit Ghoshal directed the show, while Anoop Gua conducted the technical training sessions.
