Ranchi, March 6: Jharkhand has strongly objected to Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) not taking action despite deviation of drawing map and converting buildings, parking space into commercial shops.
Hearing a PIL filed by by Rakesh Jha the bench of Justice Rangan Mukhopadhyay and Justice Deepak Roshan strongly objected to JNAC.
The petitioners legal counsel had claimed that JNAC had identified and sealed 46 illegal buildings. The meaning of sealing is to demolish illegal constructions and when the High Court asked the state to take action against the violators of the map, JNAC removed the ceiling and started banning the builders and gave permission to do even more illegal construction, due to which today 1246 illegal buildings have been constructed in Jamshedpur and instead of parking in all the buildings, commercial shops are open and vehicles are parked on the roads.
The High Court, after looking at the interim investigation report of the investigation committee appointed by the court, reprimanded JNAC and asked the investigation committee to stay in Jamshedpur continuously and file its final report.
