Ranchi. The petition filed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren challenging the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons will be heard in the Jharkhand High Court on Friday (October 6). On September 23, on behalf of the Chief Minister, his advocate had filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court regarding this entire matter, after which some defects were found in the petition. However, after removing all the defects, the petition was listed for hearing on October 6.
It is worth noting that in the land scam case, ED has issued a total of five summons to the Chief Minister one after the other, which has been challenged in the Jharkhand High Court on behalf of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The hearing of this case will be held on October 6 in the division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra.
It should also be mentioned here that despite October 4 being the date of calling the fifth summons, Chief Minister Hemant Soren did not reach the ED office. Actually, the Chief Minister had to go to Palamu to attend a programme. However, on Wednesday, the Chief Minister informed the ED office about the filing of the petition in the Jharkhand High Court. Let us tell you that till now a total of five summons have been sent to Hemant Soren by the ED office in Ranchi. In which as per any summons, CM did not appear in the ED office on the date of summons.
Soren was called to the ED office in the first summons on August 14, in the second summons on August 24, in the third summons on September 9, in the fourth summons on September 24 and in the fifth summons on October 4, but the Chief Minister did not reach there on any date. Meanwhile, on August 23, the Chief Minister had also approached the Supreme Court. After which the Supreme Court had asked the Chief Minister to go to the Jharkhand High Court.
