Jamshedpur, July 15: Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited, located in Padampur (Kandra) of Seraikela district, has been honored by the Jharkhand government for its significant contribution in eradication of tuberculosis. The company was recognized with a citation and trophy during the “State Summit on TB Free Workplace Policy and Corporate Engagement to end TB” event, organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, at Project Bhawan Auditorium in Ranchi.

The award ceremony took place on July 12, with State Health Minister Banna Gupta and Labor and Employment Minister Satyanand Bhokta jointly presenting the accolade. Sanjit Sinha, Assistant General Manager of the CSR Department at Adhunik Power, accepted the award on behalf of the company. Arun Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department, mentioned that Jharkhand has become the first state in the country to implement a TB workplace policy and engage corporates in the mission to eliminate tuberculosis.
Sanjit Sinha expressed the company’s commitment to social responsibility by highlighting Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited’s efforts to raise awareness about tuberculosis. As part of the Prime Minister’s TB-free India campaign, the company has been distributing nutritious food to tuberculosis patients in five villages, namely Dugdha, Jaspur, Rapcha, Dumra, and Kandra. Additionally, they provide detailed information about tuberculosis to promote awareness and ensure timely treatment for patients. The ultimate goal is to enable patients to lead healthy lives and prevent further transmission of the disease.
