Jharkhand Govt committed to provide houses to each homeless: CM Hemant Soren

 

Ranchi, December 19: Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren reiterated government commitment to provide houses to every homeless in rural areas.

 

Addressing a meeting of Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar at Kasira panchayat of Gumla on Tuesday, Hemant Soren alleged that the Central government did not approve, despite repeated request of the state government, the housing of the eligible beneficiaries left out of PMAY-rural scheme.

 

 

“But our government will provide housing to eight lakh needy people of the state. Every poor will have his own house. The government will fulfill the dream of 8 lakh poor people of having their own house under the Abua Housing Scheme. However, if the need arose we will increase the scope of the scheme and include even more beneficiaries so that no one is left out and increase the time span of the project. We will collect every penny and provide accommodation to the needy,” said Soren.

 

The chief minister said that similar programs would be held every year and people will await this program like they wait for festivals and camps will continue to be organised.

 

“The state cannot be strengthened without strengthening the villages. This is why your government will strengthen the rural economy. For this we all will have to discharge our responsibilities,” said Soren.

 

The Chief Minister said that work is being done to provide better education to the students and youth in the state. Financial assistance is being provided under Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana to ensure that daughters do not miss out on education. Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme has been started to help meritorious but financially weaker students to pursue higher education.

The government will provide financial support to the students studying under this scheme. The state government is providing 100 percent scholarship to the Dalit, tribal, backward and minority children for higher education abroad.

 

 

During the function, Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of 105 schemes worth Rs 402 crore and inaugurated 45 schemes worth Rs 64 crore.

 

Assets worth Rs 204 crore were distributed among 1,45,091 beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to a total of 85 people under compassion and DMFT.

The Chief Minister interacted with the beneficiaries who came to the camp organized in Bindora village of Chainpur Panchayat of Gumla.
