Jharkhand Government protecting criminals says Arjun Munda

Demands probe over terror links with Patna blasts
Jamshedpur
: Amidst the blame game erupted over the Patna serial blasts with the BJP accusing Bihar Government for security lapses, the State BJP too has straightening its guns on the Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand for protecting criminals.

With Patna serial blasts linked to Ranchi’s Indian Mujahideen module the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and the senior BJP leader Arjun Munda on Tuesday claimed that the State Government is protesting criminals in the State and this was the reason why law and order has hit an all time low.

Taking a dig into the recent link with the terror attacks, Munda said that the situation at Jharkhand has become a matter of great concern.

The recent incident of Patna blasts with Ranchi is the glaring example that the criminals have regained their confidence and are hatching such conspiracy. The gloomy law and order scenario only goes to show that the administrative machinery completely is out of control, he noted.

Addressing a press meet at Forest Departments Guest House nestled at Telco, he went on to add that the criminals are moving freely after topple of the popular democratically elected Government in the State due to which incidents of crime have shot up.

Munda also targeted Bihar government that though the Central Intelligence Bureau on October 23, 2013 issued an alert with regard to the rally to be addressed by Narendra Modi in Patna but the Government failed to pay heed to it.

He noted that it should be the responsibility of a Chief Minister to ensure safety of visiting senior political leaders.

Answering queries raised by the media persons Munda claimed the norms as per the lease agreement of 2005 between Tata Steel management and Jharkhand Government is being flouted.

Not only has the standard of civic services provided by the company had deteriorated but the areas of the services has also been limited to the company command area only.

I am equally concerned over the issues of the city and demand that the company should also provide such services like pure drinking water, maintenance of roads, cleanliness and better drainage system in non company areas too, he said.

He also criticized Jamshedpur MP Dr Ajoy Kumar for taking undue credit over development activities in the steel city and the demand for NH 33 repair.

He said : Dr. Kumar and his party workers were trying to take credit of NH 33 repair. They are playing cheap politics. Even several schemes run by MLA development funds through my single handed initiatives were being attributed to Dr. Kumar.
