CM inaugurates and lays foundation stones of 60 schemes at Godda
Ranchi, August 18: Chief Minister Hemant Soren stressed on long term planning of the state government so that benefits can be reaped till four decades.
Addressing after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 60 schemes online in a program organized at Teshobathan village located in Sundarpahari block of Godda district., Hemant Soren said, “The people have given me a chance to lead the state. Our government is working to give a new direction to this state. We want to make such a system, whose benefit continues to be available to the people for at least 40 years. With this thinking, changes are being made in many policies along with planning, so that the future of the youth of Jharkhand can be groomed.”
Hemant Soren inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 60 schemes of different departments, while some of the beneficiaries selected by different departments were symbolically given certificates related to principal lease, appointment letters and other welfare schemes.
The Chief Minister said that the whole world is battling the Corona epidemic.
“The whole country including Jharkhand has faced the first and second wave of Corona, but the scene during this period was quite frightening and painful. Corona killed thousands of people. Though the cases of infection have come down now, but the danger is not averted. In such a situation, we should take all precautions to be alert and safe,” said Soren.
The Chief Minister said that work is going on to speed up development along with normalizing life in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“ Because, along with life, livelihood is also very important. People’s lives have to be protected and resources have to be made available for their livelihood. Keeping this in mind, many programs are being run by the government, but now there is a need to bring more speed in it so that the people of every section and area of the state can get full benefit of it,” said Soren.
In this program, the Chief Minister inaugurated 37 schemes worth Rs 7050.83 lakh and laid the foundation stone of 23 schemes worth Rs 2230.42 lakh, while under the housing scheme, he handed over the keys of the house for the house entry of six beneficiaries, while four were given principal lease.
Apart from this, some of the beneficiaries selected by district administration, MNREGA, education Department, Health Department, Cooperative Department, Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department, Supply Department were given a symbolic appointment letter, community forest rights lease, ration card, and pension. They were also granted acceptance letter etc.
Chief minister also provided a cheque of Rs 4 lakh to dependants of those who were killed in lightning in Godda.
Fisheries Department, District Supply Office, District Health Committee, Sundarpahari Circle Office, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, Child Development Project Office, Financial Literacy Counseling Centre, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Rural Development Department and Chief Minister Small and Cottage Enterprises Development Board had set up stalls on the occasion and the visitors were given information about the schemes run by them in the stalls put up here.
The function was also attended by Rajmahal MP. Vijay Hansda, Godda MLA Pradeep Yadav, Godda deputy commissioner. Bhor Singh Yadav and Superintendent of Police. YS Ramesh were present on this occasion.
