Ranchi, July 23: The Jharkhand government has selected Tata AIG General Insurance Company to provide health insurance benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh to its employees. This scheme will cover both working and retired employees of the state government. The selection followed a tender process in 2024, in which Tata AIG, National Insurance, Oriental Insurance, Bajaj Allianz, and ICICI Lombard participated, with Tata AIG emerging as the successful bidder.
The state government will cover the premium for working employees, while retired employees will need to pay the premium themselves.
