New rules for jobs on compassion basis, online electronic filing in state court sent for Guv’s approval

Jamshedpur, June 29: In a major relief for government employees, the cabinet meeting of Hemant Soren led Jharkhand government on Tuesday, decided to increase the amount of government contribution under the National Pension Scheme (NPS) of government employees from 10 percent to 14 percent.
The state cabinet of Jharkhand has decided to increase the amount of government contribution under the National Pension Scheme (NPS) of government employees from 10 percent to 14 percent. This decision will be effective from the date of July 1, 2021 and will increase the burden of about Rs 342 crore on the state exchequer. Due to this, the amount that the employees will get after retirement will increase significantly.
Giving information about the decisions taken in the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that the scheme for beautification of Sarna-Masna-Hathgari sites, religious and holy places of tribal community across the state has been approved.
“Under this scheme up to a maximum of five crores can be taken. The work of such schemes up to 25 lakhs will be done through local beneficiary committees. If the cost of any scheme will be more than 25 lakhs, then open tender will be invited for it,” informed Dadel.
A total of eight important proposals were approved in the Jharkhand cabinet meeting.
New rules have been approved in the job on the basis of compassion for the dependents of government employees who died during service period in various departments. Under this, the qualification of Hindi typing has been relaxed in the educational qualification for the applicant. After getting the job, one will have to acquire the prescribed speed in Hindi typing.
The cabinet also gave the nod for compulsory retirement to forest area officer of Pakur, Anil Kumar Singh. There were serious allegations of irregularity and indiscipline against him including spreading misinformation about the department. Anil Singh is currently posted in Pakur.
Under the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme, the formation of a corpus fund of 25 crores has been approved. In case of crop loss, farmers will be helped by the interest coming from this fund.
The cabinet also approved an amount of Rs 85. 70 crores for Mukhya Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana benefitting the fishery community.
The cabinet has also approved the proposal to make Manoj Prasad the chairman of the commercial tax tribunal. Manoj Prasad is currently posted as District and Sessions Judge in East Singhbhum.
The cabinet also gave nod for the prepared proposal for online electronic filing in the courts of Jharkhand which will be sent for the final approval of the Governor.
